Large Chicago firm.

The Lexington Detective Agency was founded shortly before the Civil War. Originally private detectives serving as an adjunct to law enforcement, later expanded into private security, including uniformed guards, personnel training and union busting.

Merger with Branche Holdings in 1964 provided capital for international expansion, as well as diversification into real estate, manufacturing, and sundry smaller interests.
