Lucifer

First among angels, star of the morning, prince of the dawn. When God forbade the angels to reveal themselves to Man, Lucifer led a third of the Host in rebellion.

When the rebels were thrown into Hell, they discovered that Lucifer was not among them. Some believed that he was destroyed, others that he was imprisoned in his own hell. After a few endless ages, some began to ask if Lucifer had surrendered them in exchange for his own freedom. Did he not, they asked, visit Michael on the night before their surrender? And some went further- was Lucifer, once the highest and most loyal of angels, in on the Divine Plan from the beginning?

These questions nag at Xariel as he struggles with the questions of his own role in the war. Lucifer’s reappearance in Los Angeles in Little Earthquakes has only raised more questions.
