The D Angelo Crime Family

Though a few of its members have accumulated some occult expertise over the years, the D’Angelos don’t deal in magic directly. Instead, they deliver booze, drugs, prostitution, and gambling to Gotham’s occult underground. Shunned by the mundane underworld and high society alike, they have entreanched themselves deeply into their own, little niche.

The current head of the D’Angelos is popularly known as “the Crazy Don.” To avoid criminal prosecution, he conducts all his business while wandering around Gotham Park in a bath robe and slippers. This bit of theater has convinced no less than three juries to acquit him of racketeering and conspiracy charges.

The brightest star in the D’Angelo constellation is a little-known speakeasy called Heaven. It’s a glass nightclub perched high atop a downtown office building. The only entrance is via a hidden elevator in the back rooms of Purgatory Travel Agency, several floor below. The doorman is an eyeless seer who can peer into your soul; he only permits those with the taint of magic (or D’Angelo DNA) in their blood to pass.
