Werewolves
A turf war is tearing Little Moscow limb from limb. The problem is, Gotham PD only knows of one gang that opperates in that area. The locals won't talk because they don't trust cops, and rightly so. The Cap' wants the team to shake down the known gang, find out who their enemies are, and put a stop to the feud once and for all.
First stop: The 7th Street Pool Hall, home of the 7th Street Gang (see Werewolves Bite). They're a bunch of Russian thugs who only tolerate strangers in their midst if they're 1) buying drinks or 2) losing at pool. As soon as they've asked one question too many, an old fashioned brawl should ensue!
This is where the PCs find out about the whole werewolf thing. Let 'em go a round or two against a wolf or three, then the alpha male will break it up. (He doesn't like his boys slipping the leash in front of strangers, for obvious reasons.) He'll be all too happy to tell the PCs where to find the "crazy cult" that's been biting into his business, if only to get them out of his bar.
They'll find the Oroboten of Baba Yaga (see Werewolves Bite) in a condemned church deep inside Little Moscow. The cultists are bizarrely friendly and all too happy to tell visitors about their "great leader" and "divine powers." If you're looking to turn one of your PCs into a lycanthrope, they'll even offer to bring them into the cult!
At some point, one of the PCs will be approached by Mary Miller, who recommends setting the gang and the cult against each other in a mutually suicidal conflict. Leave the particulars to your players, but make Mary as helpful as you can. She needs to earn lots of cred before she starts stabbing our heros in the back!
The end of the session should revolve around an apocalyptic battle between warring werewolf packs, with the night shift ensuring maximum body counts on both sides.
SCV Note: This is the ideal time for the War of the Worlds stunt. Just as the two packs have locked jaws, a mob of panicked citizens floods the streets! Now, the PCs have to save innocents from being trampled, bitten, shot, etc.
Recommended Opener: The pool hall fight. That way, the PCs know going in that they have to screw it up!
