London had figured he had figured his life out. School had given way to the real world, and this was it. An endless stream of anonymous bars and clubs. Make the scene. Set up the equipment. And spend another night being that guy that everyone can talk to but no one ever wants.

A month ago, that all changed. She played bass. For a weekend, she played him.

London spent a little time putting his old life back together. He thought things could be normal again.

He was wrong. And so he ran. From what, he hasn't said.

Five hours out from the city, he found her. A bloody girl in a ditch, just embraced. And with that, something clicked.

A new chance. Not to fix the old life, but to start a new one. To be the person he never was, yet might have always had inside. To be somebody.

Somebody someone could need.
