Heathen

[i]Heathen[/i] is a potential mod for [i]Oblivion[/i].

Content

This is a reasonably ambitious project. New assets, however, should be kept to a minimum.

The City?

The city is roughly the size of one of the satellite cities from [i]Oblivion[/i]. As usual, there should be a number of small quests, though, practically, probably not as many as in [i]Oblivion[/i].

The Abbey?

A place of meditation and peace for a few kindly but detached ascetics.

The Fortress?

A citadel where masters of Conjuration and Destruction slip further into derangement.

The Cemetery?

Where the dead hold sway.

Moods

Haunted

[i]Heathen[/i] takes place on an eerie island where the sun never rises, and where ghosts outnumber men.

Brooding

The landscape is sad and devestated, but also beautiful.

Themes

Isolation

The small population clings to life surrounded by the dangers of the wind, the sea, and the monsters.

Abuse of power

The Queen? should be a protective force, but her corruption and servitude to the Deep One? corrupts her and her kingdom. The Imperial Guard? serve her... though not without question.

Sin and unfair judgement

The whole island is cursed for some kind of sin that was really bad but that the population as a whole doesn't really deserve to be punished for. This is roughly as unfair as the Queen?'s executions.
