AdventurerCompanionsAdventurer CompanionsSome characters and some RPG archetypes have animals as companions, be it a crow, a horse, a frog or even a lion. They fight together, they do magic together, they steal together and escape together. They both act as one! With that in mind, we can have some ideas about how to do this in Wushu Open! Acting TogetherIf they act as one, create them as one!The first thing to do is include your companion in the atributes of your character. You're a good fighter because you have a tiger to fight with you... your crow helps when doing magic... you can see through the eyes of your monkey... etcetera, some of your atributes exist because of your companion! If they act as one, describe them as one! When describing your action, include the actions of your companion, up to the maximum number of Details! If you have 4 Details for each 'turn', describes at least 1 Detail with the action of your companion. Until now, everything is OK. But what if anyone of them want, or need, to de act alone? Which will be the values of our atributes? Acting AloneDefine diferent atributes to you and your companion, splitting the creation points between then. At least 1 point should de used in the other character. If you've used 6 point to create the atributes when they act together, now you divide the 6 point between them, for example 4 and 2 points, and define the atributes for each one. The consequence is that alone they are worse then together Divide the number of Chi points tooAlone is worse them together and the Chi will reflect it too! Here, the GM could give the acting character all Chi points if it's rescuing the other one from any known danger! My Weakness is your Weakness? There are three options here:
They don't need to die together! When Chi reaches zero or less, something must happens... If it means the character has lost a contest and will die or get caught or something as bad as that, the player should choose to sacrifice one of the characters in order to save the other one! It means that one of them will die, get caught or worse, and the other will escape with 1 Chi point to come back later for revenge! The survivor will act as alone until the other one is rescued or revenged. After that, the charater will get its attributes back to normal, and could get another companion, or not! Good Play!
